Waldo

Waldo is an adorable, fluffy, soft and loving boy searching for a home and family to call his own. He has been handled since he was three days old so he is very people-oriented. He likes to be with you and involved in whatever you are doing. He will sit on your lap while you work on the computer, follow you around and keep you company in the house and garden, and loves to cuddle up with you at night. He was raised in a foster home with two dogs, five kittens, a grumpy adult cat, and the neighborhood children, and he is great with all of them. He doesn’t have a whole lot of common sense, though, so you will want to keep him safe around rough children or aggressive dogs.
Waldo needs a home where he won’t get lost in the shuffle. As a newborn he was exposed to a virus that causes upper respiratory infections, and although he will come to you healthy, he has a weak immune system and is more prone to colds than most cats are. It is easy for him to get sick, so you need to pay attention to him and notice when he’s getting sick. We are giving him immune system supplements, and we hope that, like kids, as he gets older he will outgrow always having the sniffles - but he may not. Although he may seem ‘special needs’, his needs shouldn't scare anyone who has any experience with cats. And the best part is that he loves the taste of the antibiotic drops - he thinks they’re a special treat and drinks them out of the dropper - no need to force them down!
He is playful and loves to chase string and balls of any sort. Oddly, he doesn’t like any wet cat food we have tried, even tuna, but he loves peanut butter, so that’s what he eats while our other cats have their breakfast. He is filled with personality and will be the kind of cat that you tell stories about: “Remember the time when Waldo did….”. Waldo is the name given to him at the shelter, but his foster family calls him Marco, for his adventurous spirit, and Cuddles, because, well, he likes to cuddle!
No matter what you call him, this little guy is a sweet and gentle soul who will provide you with hours of entertainment and a lifetime of companionship and love.
(PS - Waldo’s brother is also available for adoption if adopting two kittens works better for your family. The two boys get along famously and would love to grow up together. They are so cute together - playing, wrestling, chasing each other, and curling up together at night - and with littermates you never have to feel guilty for being away from them for long periods during the day because they keep each other company.)
