Missy is a 1 year old American Pit Bull Terrier / Boxer mix. Her elegance and beauty are the first things that will catch your eye, but it's her sweet, affectionate nature that will capture your heart! Missy is very fond of children and her whole body "giggles" and "wiggles" when she is around them. She is house-trained, uses a dog-door, knows sit, off, lie down and stay instructions. Missy is wonderful inside the home and loves to be wherever her family is. She is a bit shy-acting around new people until she feels comfortable, but it is fairly quick that she'll welcome them as a new friend--especially if treats are involved!

Missy is very obedient but can be strong-willed and requires a kind, but firm owner. She is exceptionally athletic; loves to play fetch, run just for the joy of it, adores romps in the snow and is just coming into her prime adolescent years. Missy needs someone who is experienced with bully breeds and who can ensure she is provided with robust daily exercise. She would make an excellent companion for a runner or hiker. Once she has expended her energy she will, no doubt, tempt you to cuddle with her on the couch!

This affectionate girl's dream is to be the only spoiled and fussed-over canine in the home. Her preference is to be a human's pal rather than another dog's playmate. However, she does enjoy the walking company of her trusted dog friends. As Missy is dog-selective, an adoption to a home with another dog would be dependent on meet and greet outcomes and the owner's level of experience with dog management.

She will bond deeply with her family and make you an exceptional pet. Missy's foster mom will attest to that fact! She also has an amazing past – this girl has come so far for a reason! Can that reason be you??
