Ah, summer! Flowers are great for nosin’ in search of lizards hiding among the petals. They’re sneaky, but I can see the slightest twitch—there, gotcha—nope, it’s just a fly—where’d ya go?! Oops, gotta go, I think he moved over to the squash patch…come on mom! Let’s find him!

Surprises and excitement are basic and important daily needs for your little doggy girl or boy. Besides a comfortable home and a reliable routine, she must have entertainment which can be as simple as looking for lizards and “scenting around.” Behavioral problems occur most often in dogs who are bored, so plan some fun surprises for her everyday. Try some of these—a car ride, pee-reading around different neighborhoods, or hiding a toy or bone in a sandbox made just for her digging pleasure.
